Haha, day 2 and I have a cooking failure. That’s cool, that’s cool.
I’ve become so absorbed in sites like zenhabits and stonesoup and I’m realizing that maybe, maybe it’s an extremely insightful and helpful experience to share simple ideas and practices from your own life with the public. That being you, the internet. I don’t really want to write about clutter (though I’m very happy about my clean desk) and I don’t want to write about cooking, but I DO like to draw and I can draw about what I eat. I’ve been doing a food journal off and on for the past few months, and now it’s time to get serious.
One of my favorite sites during the early dawn of the internet was pocketpig, in which this awesome woman drew on her little mobile device (back before anyone did that, really) about the meals that she ate all day. Brilliant! So I’m ripping her off.
The recipe I cook in this first episode is the couscous and broccoli salad on stonesoup. I LOVE the 5-ingredients recipes, and the simplicity is probably why I’m choosing it as my first recipe. I emailed the recipe to myself and referred to my phone probably 4 times while shopping for ingredients. Yeah. I’m excited to have sherry vinegar and almond slices in my inventory now!
Next up: cauliflower pasta with peas and ricotta!
